GREY AREA
When there is a gap, we do not see it
When we don’t see it, yet, we feel the difference
We feel the difference but deny the gap
We don’t accept the gap because of the difference
We try to erase the difference even if it’s a gap
We try to erase the gap and deny the difference
The gap is not different and the difference is not the gap
In every gap, there is a difference.

If equality really exists, I want what you have!’
This play focuses on ‘Class’ and ‘Gap’ such as physical gap, social gap, hierarchical gap, educational gap and other possible gaps which exist in Thai society. An idea of utopia has been borrowed and interpreted within Thai social, cultural and environmental contexts through Thai multicultural gaze. It is reflected through a local low-class couple who wish to seek equality in this so-called civilized world. With sense of humor, the play optimistically shows a pathway through which Thai people tend to elevate, rebrand and remove themselves into a ‘better’ place.
